Frequently Asked Questions

We have compiled answers to some questions that we get asked often. Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions you may have as we are always here to help make this a smooth process!

Are we able to come visit the puppies to help make our choice?

Of course! You and your family are encouraged to come meet our puppies. Please understand that children under 12, although are more than welcome, will be required to sit on the floor if they want to hold any puppy. We also ask that you prep your children to understand that these are little puppies and they will need to be as calm as possible while around our newly born litters. Please also understand that puppies are very much like infants and can catch sickness easier during their first few weeks of life thus please ensure no family member is kissing the puppies. Everyone will also be asked to use hand sanitizer before touching any puppy. Visits will only be allowed once the puppies are walking, which is around 4-5 weeks old. Prior to that, we are happy to send photos and video to help make your choice!

Do I have to make a deposit to hold a puppy?

If you have a specific puppy you want held for you, you must make a deposit. If you do not make a deposit, that puppy will not be held for you and will be advertised as being available. If you want to secure a spot on our waitlist for your choice of puppy for a litter that has not been born yet, you must make a deposit.  Deposits always go toward the purchase price of the puppy.

Is my deposit refundable if I change my mind?

No. Your deposit is not refundable, regardless of circumstances. Once you make a deposit, we remove that puppy from available status, get your AKC paperwork put together, and typically spend hours working behind the scenes so your puppy can be picked up or delivered on the date you requested.  Please be sure you thoroughly understand this before placing a deposit.

Do you health test or color test your dogs?

ABSOLUTELY! Both parents are health and genetic tested. Those test results are cross matched and reviewed before breeding to ensure quality, healthy puppies. We do not health or color test any of the puppies, due to the extensive testing that is done on the parents. All puppies are vet checked and approved before you welcome them to your home. Your puppy packet includes a copy of the vet exam as well as other helpful information.

Is there a health guarantee?

There is a one year genetic health guarantee included in our sales contract. You MUST follow the requirements listed in that contract for your health guarantee to be valid. Please ensure you are reviewing and understanding those requirements, as it is your responsibility to make sure you continue to meet the guidelines throughout the year. We are not responsible for ensuring you are following the steps outlined in the sales contract.

What makes The Perfect Blend Frenchies different from other breeders?

French Bulldogs have become very popular in the last few years. While that is great, it has also given some people the assumption that breeding Frenchies is a way to earn a quick buck. There are people who are breeding without first performing genetic testing which ends in puppies with genetic health issues. We have been breeding Frenchies for years and have worked with some of the most amazing mentors available. All of our dogs are health and genetic tested. Their mates are all health and genetic tested and those reports are all cross matched to ensure the healthiest puppies possible. While our puppies may not be the least expensive ones you'll find, that is because they are quality bred frenchies.

What puppy food do you use?

We feed all of the puppies Purina Pro Plan Puppy Food. We have found this to be the best and most nutritious puppy food. Our mamas also eat Purina Pro Plan Sensitive, Adult Formula.
